Sierra Care Collaborative (Sierra Cares) delivers immediate comfort through thoughtfully handcrafted, all-natural self-care products and hygiene essentials, with responsive programming that supports those hit hardest by emergent situations across the Tahoe Region.
We believe access to clean, thoughtfully crafted self-care is a matter of dignity, not luxury. Every program is designed to honor individual choice, comfort, and humanity -- especially during moments of crisis.
OUR MISSION
Sierra Care Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization advancing hygiene access, wellness equity, and personal dignity through the creation and delivery of all-natural, handcrafted self-care products and educational resources, with a focus on under-resourced and historically marginalized individuals experiencing crisis or emergent needs.

Sierra Care Collaborative works toward a future where individuals and families who are in need and facing emergent situations are met with compassion, equity, and care when it matters most.
OUR APPROACH: DIGNITY-CENTERED CARE
- Crisis-Responsive & Trauma-Informed - Our work is informed by decades of experience in emergent and disaster-response programming. We deliver timely, practical support that meets people where they are, with sensitivity to the impacts of trauma and displacement.
- All-Natural, Thoughtfully Handcrafted Essentials - As makers, we create clean, all-natural, small-batch self-care and hygiene products with intention -- designed to be safe for sensitive skin and appropriate for a wide range of needs.
- Equity-Driven Access - We prioritize under-resourced and historically marginalized populations and communities, working to remove barriers to all-natural self-care and hygiene access and wellness support.
- Education as Empowerment - In addition to self-care products and hygiene essentials, we develop and distribute related educational materials that support personal wellness, informed choice, and resilience -- helping individuals and communities navigate emergencies and build long-term resiliency.
- Community-Powered Partnerships - Our programs are strengthened through collaboration with local nonprofits, emergency responders, donors, and community partners -- ensuring care is relevant, trusted, and impactful.
