Amy brings a rare blend of strategic leadership, public service experience, and maker-driven care to her role as Board President of Sierra Care Collaborative. 

Now living Gardnerville and working across the Tahoe Region, her work is shaped by decades of engagement at the intersection of policy, philanthropy, and community response.

With nearly three decades of experience across state government and the nonprofit sector, Amy has dedicated her career to advancing mission-driven initiatives, strengthening organizational capacity, and securing resources for causes rooted in service and public good. Her background spans public policy, advocacy, communications, fund development, and the creation and management of mission-driven programming, bringing both strategic insight and practical execution to the Collaborative’s leadership.

In 2024, Amy launched 395 Naturals as an extension of a decade-plus maker practice rooted in care for friends, family, and neighbors. What began as a small-batch, handcrafted offering grew into a values-driven model that now lives fully within Sierra Care Collaborative -- pairing thoughtfully made self-care essentials with crisis response and community support.

Amy maintains strong ties across the Tahoe Region -- the Collaborative’s service area -- spanning key communities throughout the Tahoe–Sierra corridor of Nevada and California. This regional perspective, combined with her policy background and hands-on maker ethos, informs a leadership approach grounded in responsiveness, dignity, and care.

Amy is married to her husband, Steve, and is a devoted dog mom to Gracie, her spirited Olde English Bulldog.

Jenine brings a deep commitment to community service and long-standing professional experience to her role on the Board of Directors of Sierra Care Collaborative. 

Raised in Sacramento, she has spent decades building relationships, navigating complex needs, and supporting individuals and families through her work as a full-time Realtor since 1996.

Jenine has a strong history of community involvement, including volunteer service with Ronald McDonald House. Her dedication to giving back reflects a shared belief in care rooted in presence, reliability, and compassion.

With personal and professional ties to South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County -- one of Sierra Care Collaborative’s core service areas -- Jenine brings valuable regional insight and a strong sense of place to the organization’s work. She is especially drawn to efforts that support families, stability, and community resilience during times of need.

Jenine is married to her husband, Ron, and is a proud mother to her son, Caden. She enjoys travel, the arts, and cheering on her son at sporting events -- grounding influences that reinforce her appreciation for connection, balance, and community.

Maryliz brings creativity, care, and steady leadership to her role on the Board of Directors of Sierra Care Collaborative. An artist and writer -- and the devoted mother of five -- her life and work reflect a thoughtful balance of imagination, discipline, and deep commitment to community.

A longtime business owner now living and working in Gardnerville, Maryliz has spent more than 35 years applying her strengths as an administrator and organizer across both for-profit and nonprofit settings. Her work supports a wide range of missions, from creative enterprises to community-centered initiatives, and is grounded in clarity, reliability, and thoughtful execution.

With ties across the Tahoe Region -- including Douglas and Washoe Counties and Carson City in Nevada, and El Dorado County in California, a primary area of the Collaborative’s service footprint -- Maryliz offers a grounded perspective shaped by local connections and regional relationships.

She approaches leadership with heart and intention, weaving her artistic perspective together with strong organizational skills to help ensure care is delivered in ways that are both effective and deeply human.

Steve brings hands-on expertise, steady leadership, and practical problem-solving to his role on the Board of Directors of Sierra Care Collaborative. With extensive experience across project management and operations, he offers a grounded, solutions-oriented perspective rooted in service and reliability.

Over the course of his career, Steve has supervised teams, managed complex projects, and delivered results efficiently and within scope. His background reflects broad experience navigating dynamic environments and resolving challenges with care and precision—skills that translate naturally into thoughtful stewardship and operational insight for the Collaborative.

Most recently, Steve co-managed 395 Naturals, helping guide a small-batch, maker-led operation through a period of significant year-over-year growth, while maintaining a strong focus on care, craftsmanship, and community response. His experience balancing logistics, materials, timelines, and hands-on work reinforces the Collaborative’s emphasis on accountability, quality, and follow-through.

Steve lives in Gardnerville with his wife, Amy, and their spunky “fur child,” Gracie -- a stubborn and much-loved bulldog. Outside of work, you’ll often find him on the east side of the Sierra, where he enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking historic Highway 395, finding balance and renewal through time spent outdoors.
