C.A.R.E. KITS

Designed to meet immediate self-care and hygiene needs, Sierra Care Collaborative’s C.A.R.E. Kits are thoughtfully assembled to provide comfort, dignity, and practical support during times of crisis. Each kit is intended to help bridge the gap between urgent circumstances and compassionate care.

Every C.A.R.E. Kit contains a selection of our handcrafted, all-natural, small-batch self-care and hygiene products -- such as soap, lip balm, lotion, shampoo, and other essentials -- often paired with related educational materials that support informed, accessible self-care during times of stress or disruption.

Whenever possible, we also include calming botanicals and locally sourced ingredients to support both physical and emotional well-being during stressful and destabilizing moments.

At the heart of every C.A.R.E. Kit is the care of a maker. We don’t source or resell generic products -- we handcraft nearly every item included, in small batches, with intention and care. This maker-led approach allows us to respond thoughtfully to need, maintain quality, and create items designed to feel grounding and human in moments of crisis.

C.A.R.E. Kits are distributed through community organizations, responding public agencies, shelters, crisis centers, and volunteers to individuals and families facing a range of challenges, including:

• Homebound seniors with limited access due to illness, injury, or mobility challenges
• People displaced by fire, flood, or other natural disasters
• Individuals in immediate crisis, including those seeking safety from violent or unsafe environments
• Families in need facing sudden housing instability or unexpected hardship
• Community members experiencing isolation or loss of access following a disruptive event
   

Distribution is guided by local partnerships to ensure kits reach people where and when they’re most needed.

C.A.R.E. Kits are supported through a combination of:
