C.A.R.E. Cards

A C.A.R.E. Card is a simple, flexible way to provide short-term assistance to individuals and families facing crisis. 

Funded through donors, sponsors, and grant support and often co-branded, each C.A.R.E. Card is a preloaded cash card that helps eligible recipients purchase immediate essentials -- such as food, gas, diapers, medication, or other critical items that are often left behind during an emergency or crisis situation.

C.A.R.E. Cards are often provided alongside our C.A.R.E. Kits, offering both practical care items and the freedom to address urgent needs that kits can’t always cover. Together, these resources support health, stability, and dignity during difficult times.

In moments of crisis, needs are personal—and they can change quickly. C.A.R.E. Cards help by providing:

• Flexibility to purchase what’s needed most right away
   
• Speed of support when timing matters
   
• Dignity and choice for recipients navigating hard circumstances
   
• Practical relief for essentials that aren’t always immediately available through other channels

C.A.R.E. Cards are provided to eligible recipients through trusted distribution partners, including regional community organizations, responding public agencies, shelters, crisis centers, and our volunteers. Distribution is guided by local insight and program criteria to ensure support is timely, appropriate, and accountable.

C.A.R.E. Cards are made possible through community support and institutional giving. Your contribution or grant can help fund immediate relief for someone facing a moment of instability.
